Description
The Alice in the Well decorative tile made by Fairytiles is inspired by the fairy tale Alice in Wonderland.
The white rabbit must have appeared like a trail of light on the torrid afternoon when Alice was listening to her sister asleep under a tree in the field. She must have chased it at breakneck speed, until she slipped into the Court of the Ca’ d’Oro.
A soft blue skirt from which two slender red furlanes were emerging in motion. The momentum was such that in an attempt to catch that white wad with the watch Alice lost her balance and slipped into the well of the court, a veritable Venetian rabbit warren.
As she continued to slip, she grabbed a jar with a label, read the label: ‘Orange Marmalade’ but, alas, to her great disappointment, it was empty. Luckily, in his slow fall, he was able to distract himself with a bunch of other objects, such as the blown glass lanterns that the light seemed to inflate and boil in the iron cages, or the Venetian meatballs that he tasted while having a sip of spritz… Even an old hat of who knows which doge caught his attention…
