Before founding the Atelier Daniela Levera, I moved to Italy in 2007 and in 2010 I graduated in Industrial Design at the Iuav University of Venice. At the end of my studies I met Cinzia Cingolani who welcomed me in her Laboratory called “Fustat” in Campo Santa Margherita in Venice. With Cinzia I learned all the basic notions for the shaping of objects, for the decoration and the different cooking. Thanks to her passion for the craft, she passed on to me the importance of this material and its wonderful secrets and possibilities.
In 2011 I moved to Faenza, and attended the School of Art “Gaetano Ballardini” to deepen my technical knowledge on this material. At the school I met the Spanish ceramist Lucia Homedes and the project Creater was born, a handicraft and creative laboratory of ceramics and other materials.
In Faenza, I had the opportunity to work with Manifatture Sottosasso, an artisanal ceramic production company that produces all kinds of ceramics. I also had the pleasure of working in the workshop of Carla Lega, a Faentine ceramist who works with the lustre technique, who very affectionately welcomed Creater into her work space.
Atelier Daniela Levera in Venice
In 2014 I decided to return to Venice and work with ceramics and so in March 2014 I opened my workshop. The Atelier Daniela Levera now became ADLCeramicsVenice. The workshop still active and I produce ceramic and porcelain products, functional and decorative objects with different manual production techniques.
In 2018 together with Kirumakata by Alessandra Gardin I open Kontempo Gallery, a gallery where we sell ceramics and glass jewelry.
I teach the ‘art of ceramics at my atelier, throughout Italy and abroad and at the association of Venetian ceramists “i Bochaleri” (I am part of the management). With private lessons of lathe, with paths dedicated to ceramics for artists and designers and with specific workshops dedicated to various techniques.
