Tintoretto (1519-1594), published by Marsilio, is the catalog for the exhibition in Venice (September 7, 2018-January 6, 2019).

The five hundredth anniversary of Tintoretto’s birth is an opportunity to retrace the entire career of this great artist. Through the research of his major scholars, Italian and foreign.

More than 150 works (practically all the corpus known to date) and a complete nucleus of drawings. This is the starting point of the story of Tintoretto’s life. The very close ties with his city of origin, his workshop and his family, his relations with the Venetian patriciate and with the Serenissima Republic.
