While Klimt’s painting is full of symbolic power and ornamental details, in drawing the artist adopts a freer and more fluid style. The pencil flows in a space of total freedom, the lines move continuous and soft as a caress. He was a prolific draftsman, performing numerous preparatory studies for each figure portrayed, from which female bodies emerge of naturalness and disarming beauty.

Made with glass paste tiles from the Fornace Storica Orsoni in Venice. Colors: light gray and black. Mosaic made with glass paste tesserae freely inspired by G.Klimt, “Studio di donna”.
