Matisse was always fascinated by the female figure and was engaged in depicting it throughout his career, in a relentless search through all techniques: drawing, painting, collage.
The “Back Nude” is the first work of Matisse that, many years ago, struck the artisan Michela, to the point of wishing to be able to admire it every day. And so, evoking her creative path, her personal tribute takes shape.

Colors: brilliant white and black.
