My name is Marilisa and I was born in Cogollo del Cengio in the province of Vicenza, various coincidences in my life brought me to Venice in the laboratory of a former schoolmate, Gualtiero Dall’Osto, a great spokesman for this profession. Gualtiero has been my teacher since 1985 with a first step into this world and as a collaborator from 1987 until the end of 1989, in what later became my profession, that of the Venetian “mascarera” and I am proud to carry on this ancient tradition especially as a woman. I opened my first store in Calle dei Cristi, San Polo 1722 in January ’90. I began my journey and the years were favorable to me and I found myself in a period to have three stores (San Polo 1722, 1729, 789) with girls who help me.

Then things change and now I am alone in San Polo 789, I continue my business with great passion and love, I am always looking for new inspirations and my creativity covers large spaces, I can achieve almost everything someone asks me and if I don’t know to do I say it immediately, but mixing ideas and collaborations loads me a lot. Lately, many small and big awards come to me from all over, just in these days, on December 2nd, I was the bearer of this great profession in a well-known French program ”Des Racines et des Ailes” with a documentary that talks about our Venice
