Description
The Calabaza bottle, designed by Kanz, is derived from Calabaza (a single word for gourd/bowl in Spanish).
It refers to archetypal forms taken from the natural world. The volutes obtained by blowing the glass give rise to a living object that appears to be constantly changing.
The blowing of the ribbed glass and the resulting play of light reflection bring to mind
certain decorative motifs of Venetian chandeliers.
